Our development officers recently paid a visit to the Blaenllynfi development site to check out the progress. The houses are getting closer to being finished and soon, 20 families will be able to call them home.
Here’s a summary of our recent progress:
Community benefits are in progress: our contractor, Pendragon (Design & Build) Limited, is working closely with local organisations like Nnoddfa to maximise community benefits of the project
Almost all of the plots have their MMC timber frames erected
Many of the homes already have completed roofs, with solar panels installed.
Homes fit for the future
All 20 homes are being built to the highest standards using modern methods of construction to meet Welsh Development Quality Requirements. They’ve also achieved an impressive EPC-A energy rating, which will help residents with the cost of living, as well as being environmentally friendly.
Better homes for all
Our new developments, like the one in Blaenllynfi, help us strengthen our financial position when borrowing from banks. This allows us to reinvest in the homes we already have and continue delivering high-quality housing for those who need it most.
What’s next?
Handover is on track to happen in March 2025, with the next progress meeting scheduled to take place this month.
